I started to learn to skate as an older skater. Having never skated before I was already nervous, but when I attended a class that Sharon was running I was immediately put at ease. I was given a set of safety kit and talked through the theory of skating. It wasn't an instant success and there was a bit of wobbling and the occasional fall – but much like riding a bike, you need a little bit of speed (and time) to figure out your balance. It didn't take long to get the hang of it – with Sharon's encouragement and supervision and with plenty of space to have a go I was soon able to start, stop and turn!

Sharon also added in fun games and if you fancied even some races and slaloms! Oh and don't forget the roller discos!

With Sharon's guidance, I'm sure most people will quickly be able to get up to speed and have fun! Sharon was able to also help children of all ages to learn to skate and it was exciting to see them quickly whizz around the floor. I have full confidence in her abilities as a teacher and to supervise skating events.

I was a late returner to skating (40) but what can I say other than praise for Sharon.
Made me feel at ease straight away, helped me no end with my technique. I started to have lessons on the basics and advanced methods of skating and what a fantastic, very patient and knowledgeable teacher Sharon is, always helping everyone all ages and abilities. I eventually brought my young son along ans she gave him so much confidence not only in skating but also helped him in his everyday life. It wasn't always work or practising in a strict way we had so much fun dancing on skates without realising that you were learning.
Couldn't recommend Sharon enough fantastic, fun loving lady who goes out of her way to teach/help everyone age,gender, ability means nothing to her its all about the skating.

My daughter put her very first skates on with Sharon a few years ago when she had her first lessons with Dragon Coast Roller Skating and then went on to train with Sharon at Cardiff City Rollers. I never thought I'd see her stand on a pair of skates never mind achieve what she did! Glad to Sharon back on her skates and teaching others after her break.

Cardiff Skate School is amazing. Sharon tailors her lessons to include everyone from those who have skated before to the terrified. Lessons are enjoyable & everyone is able to learn at their own pace. I would recommend Cardiff Skate School to everyone.
