Cardiff Skate School believes that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in a sporting activity whether it's just for fun or in a more competitive environment. Our goal is to give each skater the opportunity to learn a well-rounded set of roller skating skills and our lesson programme makes this easy to achieve.

Designed to underpin the fundamentals of all the disciplines of roller skating to get you ready to go on your roller sports journey or if recreational skating is more your thing you will be sure that you have all the moves to get the most our of your sessions.

Roller skating is a fun and exciting sport that can be done alone or with friends and family and is a great way to stay fit and active. Whatever your reason for learning to skate, we are here to get you started on your skating journey to help you gain an active skill for life.

We offer group and private lessons and  all lessons include skate hire if required.

Our Edu-Sk8 Programme has 10 progressive levels, each level is represented by a colour and consists of a number skating skills. Starting at level 1  (White)  each level gets progressively challenging to ensure skaters of any ability can join the program and work towards becoming more skilled.

When learning to skate with us you will be given a card to look after which explains each of the skills  you will need to learn.

At each lesson you will be taught the skills you need for your current level and will have plenty of skating time to practice your skills. Once you feel confident that you have mastered a skill, you just ask to be assessed. If you successfully perform the skill, you will have your card signed to say that you have passed. Once all the skills on your card have been singed off, you will be ready to progress on to the next level.

Once you have passed the level you will have the opportunity to purchase a certificate, the card for your next level and a t-shirt which will be the colour of the level you have passed. Every time you skate with us you can wear your t-shirt with pride to show everyone how far you have come on your skating journey!

And what's more if you only come to our public sessions you can still ask for a card and work towards obtaining all the levels.

This programme is new for September 2019 to make learning more accessible and to enable more recognition for all the hard work that goes into learning to skate.

You will be given a card to look after which details the skills you need to learn

During your lessons you'll be taught each skill which you will then need to practice until you feel really confident

When you are ready your instructor will watch you and sign the skill off on your card. Once you have all skills signed off on your card you will have passed the level
